HOW IT ALL
BEGAN...
Curious Pencil was born from our Christian values and a heart of making people smile. In 2015, we decided to combine our skills (Simone a creative writer and editor Sheleen an artist), to produce our very first greeting card. After selling to the public, we soon we began to hear some incredible stories of how our cards impacted the lives others, from rekindling a marriage, to getting someone out of a real dark time.
Fast forward to 2017, with a background of working in the corporate world, we experienced first hand the disconnection between people and large organisations. Knowing the emotional impact our cards had, and seeing how very little there was out there, we introduced corporate greeting cards and have not looked back since. We have found our cards add a human-to-human connection, build brand personality, enhance the customer experience, nurture existing relationships and grow word-of-mouth referrals, all from a small but powerful gesture.

Our mission is to connect people in an otherwise disconnected world, through greeting cards. By doing this we aim to make the world smile – one person at a time…
Our hope is that every customer / client / staff member, no longer feels like a number but truly feels valued. We strive to enable each company we work with improve their customer experience, by connecting emotionally with their clients through our branded greeting cards. We aim to do all of this while empowering local artists and supporting the charities we stand beside.

Unlike the standard shop bought card, our cards are custom-designed for your brand. We also steer away from the lack of personality in a typical “corporate greeting card”. But add a fresh heart-warming look, unforgettable, hand-illustrated designs and great quality, in order to stand out on mantlepieces and pull at the heartstrings of your staff/customers.
We are proudly built on family, and work with a dynamic team of local talented artists. We print with impressive quality. All of our cards are approved & certified by Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).

Our values extend from our Christian beliefs, we believe each individual is important and deserves to be valued. This is why we treat each customer, how we would like to be treated, with respect, attention to detail and a personal service. We make sure our interactions are delivered with genuine care and transparency.
